A new scholarship for students of traditional performing arts has been announced.
The Mohan Nadkarni Foundation announced the Suniti Nadkarni Scholarship for students of the traditional performing arts in New Zealand. The scholarship, instituted in the name of Suniti Nadkarni, the founding chairperson of the Mohan Nadkarni Foundation will cover the tuition fee of the student for a specified period of time.
Dr Vasu Hatangadi, Chairman of the Foundation announced the scholarship at the twin arangetram of students of the Anuradha School of Indian Dances on March 14, 2020 at the Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland.
Dev Nadkarni, Secretary of the Mohan Nadkarni Foundation delivered an address as a guest of honour at the event.
The first recipient of the scholarship will be announced in 2021.
